Will the person I check know I looked them up?

No. We don’t notify, email, or message the person you check. There is no “view receipt.” We don’t even tell them they’re searchable.

How long does a check take?

About 30 seconds for most checks. Up to 2 minutes if we need to scan extra public records or do a careful photo lookup.

What if I’m not sure of their last name?

Run with what you have. We’ll do our best with first name, city, and a photo. If we can’t make a confident match, we’ll tell you and refund you.

Can I get my money back if the check turns up nothing?

If we can’t find a confident match, you get an automatic refund. If we find a clean check (a green flag), that IS the result. No refunds for green flags.

Are you a real background-check company?

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Our reports cannot be used for employment, housing, insurance, or credit decisions. By design.

Can I use this for hiring or renting?

No. Our reports cannot be used for hiring, renting, or any FCRA-regulated decision. Those require a different kind of background-check service.

What if I get a green flag and they’re still bad news?

A green flag means we didn’t find anything alarming in public records and their public profile is consistent. It’s not a guarantee they’re a good person. Trust your gut. We’re an extra check, not a substitute for one.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Visit your account settings and follow the type-to-confirm flow. We’ll wipe your account, all your reports, and any associated data within 24 hours.
